BEGINS WITH A DREAM
One night in 1900, 11-year-old Igor Sikorsky awoke to a start. He recalled a lavishly adorned passageway with walnut doors; luxurious carpets;
and an otherworldly light that bathed everything in an enchanting bluish hue. Was he aboard a ship? Yet, as he sensed a slight vibration, he realized
it was not just any ship - but a ship in flight!
Dreamt three years ahead of the Wright Brother’s flight, this vision glimpsed the future – a revolutionary aircraft Sikorsky later designed in 1931.
